Bill Would Allow Private Suits Over Pollution

Law360, New York (April 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lawmakers in the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives have reintroduced matching bills that would add “environmental injustices” such as pollution or contamination to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, giving individuals the right to take legal action to fight them.
