Allens Bankruptcy Judge Converts Case To Ch. 7

Law360, New York (June 6, 2014, 6:33 PM EDT) -- Frozen vegetable manufacturer Allens Inc. on Friday won court approval to convert its Chapter 11 bankruptcy into a Chapter 7 liquidation after it sold off virtually all of its assets to Sager Creek Acquisition Corp. in February.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Ben Barry agreed to send the case into liquidation after the company said in court filings that it didn’t think it could confirm a plan with so little funding for basic administrative expenses and officer fees.
