Fed. Circ. Lowers Curtain On Rambus-Samsung Drama

Law360 (April 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appeals court granted Rambus Inc. a final victory Tuesday, ending the chip maker's dispute with Korean electronics giant Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. over four semiconductor patents.

Adopting the arguments of Rambus' appeal, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit struck down a district court's July 2006 order denying Samsung attorneys' fees but ruling that Samsung was the prevailing party in the case.
