Coldwater Creek Creditors Again Attack Bankruptcy Plan

Law360, New York (June 10, 2014, 6:17 PM EDT) -- Coldwater Creek Inc.’s unsecured creditors on Tuesday once again challenged the retailer’s efforts to exit bankruptcy, urging a judge to reject the disclosure statement sent to creditors for voting purposes because it is tied to a plan that they say is unconfirmable.

The official committee of unsecured creditors continued their ongoing opposition to Coldwater Creek’s liquidation efforts by taking issue with the allegedly broad releases in the plan that it says bars them from bringing potentially lucrative claims against the Idaho-based company’s directors, officers and prepetition...
