Whistleblowing EEOC Attorney's Reassignment Upheld

Law360 (April 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal court has rejected the appeal of an attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission who claimed she was reassigned in retaliation for blowing the whistle on alleged abuse of authority and mismanagement at the agency.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said Tuesday that the Merit Systems Protection Board correctly upheld Prisca M. DeLeonardo's reassignment from her position as supervisory trial attorney at the EEOC's Birmingham, Ala. office.
