Microsoft Attacks European Commission On Web Site

Law360 (February 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a reactionary move to avoid paying a daily fine of about $2.4 million for not complying with the European Commission’s antitrust ruling, Microsoft has launched an attack against the Commission on its Web site.

Last week, Microsoft decided to publish confidential case documents, which were previously sent to the European Commission on Feb. 15, on its Web site in an attempt to bully the Commission into backing down from enforcing the daily fine on the software giant.
