American Airlines Seeks Reversal In Skycaps Case

Law360, New York (May 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- American Airlines Inc. has asked a judge to reverse a recent decision by a Massachusetts jury that handed more than $325,000 to nine skycaps who said they were denied tips after the airline began charging customers for curbside check-in help.

Eight of the nine skycaps who were awarded damages do not work for American at Logan Airport near Boston but are employed by vendor G2 Services, the airline said in motions filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts Monday but announced Thursday....
