Court Gives Final OK To Akzo $23M Peroxide Deal

Law360, New York (May 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three years into the court battle, a federal judge has given final approval to a $23.38 million settlement agreement between Akzo Nobel Chemicals Inc. and the plaintiffs in the multidistrict litigation over an alleged hydrogen peroxide price-fixing cartel.

Judge J. Steward Dalzell of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted final approval to the deal on Tuesday, finding that the settlement was “in all respects, fair, reasonable and adequate under the governing jurisprudence and in the best interest of the settlement class.”...
