SoundBite Rival Fires Back In Call-System Patent Spat

Law360 (May 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Universal Recovery Systems Inc. retaliated against a competitor Friday, once again accusing SoundBite Communications Inc. of infringement and fraud after it allegedly provided misleading representations of a telephone call-routing system.

URS lodged the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, claiming SoundBite, an automated voice messaging service provider, infringes U.S. Patent Number 6,621,900, one of three related to a call-routing system and method the company licenses and sells.
