Chip Rival Files Subpoena In Antitrust Suit With Intel

Law360 (March 1, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A longstanding rivalry between two microchip competitors intensified as Advanced Micro Devices Inc. subpoenaed an eBay subsidiary as part of an antitrust lawsuit against Intel Corp.

According to the subpoena, AMD wants documents from Skype Inc., an eBay Internet phone unit, pertaining to its choice to use Intel chips for its Skype 2.0 technology, which is integral to conducting 10-person conference calls.
