QBE Can't Erase Rulings In Settled Misplaced Graves Suit
Law360, New York (July 1, 2014, 5:39 PM EDT) -- An Alabama federal judge refused Friday to nullify two summary judgment rulings against QBE Insurance Co. following the insurer's settlements with the underlying plaintiffs over coverage for claims that a cemetery did not keep track of who was buried where.
U.S. District Judge Kristi DuBose kept in place the court's February 2013 decision to grant partial summary judgment to one set of underlying plaintiffs on QBE's duty to defend and another ruling that month denying QBE's motion for summary judgment.
