Jury Awards $305M In Suit Over Adidas Knockoffs

Law360, New York (May 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Kansas-based shoe company has been ordered to pay $304.6 million for allegedly infringing the well-known Adidas three-stripe logo.

A jury returned the verdict against Topeka, Kan.-based Collective Brands Inc. on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. The company, which operates the Payless and Stride Rite shoe store chains, vowed to fight the decision.
