Federal Circuit Sends Stent Case To Germany

Law360 (March 3, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has ruled that a case over stent patents should have been filed in Germany, upholding a lower court ruling that deflated the suit brought by a doctor against device makers Pfizer and Boston Scientific.

The court ruled that the patent infringement lawsuit, brought by Dr. Tassilo Bonzel against Pfizer and Boston Scientific in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, should have been filed in Germany, with the potential to return to a U.S. venue...
