Companion Bill Would Extend Green Tax Incentives

Law360, New York (May 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Rep. Roscoe G. Bartlett (R-Md.) introduced a bill Wednesday that aims to break the stalemate over tax credits that encourage the use of clean and renewable energy sources.

The bill is a companion bill to the Clean Energy Tax Stimulus Act, which was introduced by Sens. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) and John Ensign (R-Nev.) on April 3 as an amendment to the Foreclosure Prevention Act.

That measure passed the Senate by a vote of 88-8 on April 10. But it was later stripped from the foreclosure act...
