Microsoft Takes Step To Appeal €899M Fine

Law360, New York (May 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The antitrust battle between Microsoft Corp. and the European Commission continues to drag on, with the technology giant revealing that it will appeal the €899 million fine levied by the commission for failing to comply with a 2004 order to lower prices for interoperability information.

On Friday, Microsoft announced its decision to file an application with the Court of First Instance and fight the record-breaking penalty.
