Countdown to China's New Anti-Monopoly Law

Law360, New York (May 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- China's new comprehensive anti-monopoly law goes into effect in just two months, giving multinational companies until Aug. 1 to finalize a strategy for dealing with the world's newest antitrust regime.

Significant questions remain over exactly how China intends to wield this new law. But experts caution against adopting a wait-and-see approach, arguing that a proactive plan is the only way to keep from being caught off guard by novice antitrust authorities.
