Alaska LNG Developers File Export Application To DOE

Law360, New York (July 21, 2014, 7:50 PM EDT) -- Business partners planning a massive liquefied natural gas project in Alaska that would include an 800-mile pipeline from the state’s North Slope and liquefaction plant able to serve domestic and foreign customers have submitted an export application to the U.S. Department of Energy on Monday.

The application seeks authority to export up to 20 million metric tons per year of LNG for 30 years to countries that have free trade agreements with the United States as well nonfree trade agreement countries, the partners behind the project...
