Spansion Sues Macronix Over Trademark Infringement

Law360, New York (March 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Spansion Inc., a manufacturer of flash memory products, smacked Macronix International and Macronix America with a trademark infringement lawsuit Tuesday.

Spansion, which was previously a joint venture of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and Fujitsu Ltd., asked in its lawsuit for Macronix to discontinue statements about being an authorized second source for, and completely compatible with, Spansion’s MirrorBit Flash memory products.
