Judge Allows Amcast Creditors To Withhold Info

Law360 (March 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Coping with the vague provisions of last October’s new bankruptcy law on information-sharing, a judge overseeing wheel maker Amcast Industrial Corp.'s Chapter 11 case has ruled that the creditors committee may limit the information it turns over to creditors.

The judge’s ruling means that the committee now has no obligation to share any confidential, nonpublic or attorney-client privileged information, giving it discretion to decide whether to share confidential information.
