Obama Garners Endorsement Of Three Ex-SEC Chiefs

Law360, New York (May 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission chairmen reportedly announced Wednesday that they were throwing their support behind Sen. Barack Obama's run for the presidency.

One-time SEC chairmen William Donaldson, Arthur Levitt and David Ruder said in a joint statement that they would join ex-Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker in endorsing Obama, according to various news reports quoting an Obama campaign statement. Volcker announced his support for Obama in January.

A spokeswoman for the campaign could not confirm the reports.
