Potato Producer Hit With EEOC Sexual Harassment Suit

Law360, New York (August 8, 2014, 1:49 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission slapped MountainKing Potatoes with a harassment suit in federal court on Thursday, claiming several women at its Colorado location were sexually menaced by a production supervisor and fired when they resisted or complained.

The EEOC claims that MountainKing, also known as Smokin’ Spuds Inc., and co-defendant Farming Technology Inc. knew or should have known about the allegedly sexually hostile work environment created by production supervisor Samuel Valdez at their Colorado site.
