EC Eases Subsidy Rules For Small Companies

Law360, New York (March 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- As part of an ongoing effort to simplify state aid rules, the European Commission has proposed easing the regulations that control subsidies for small companies.

The EC has called for raising the limit for subsidies that require Commission notification from its current level, €100,000, to €150,000. Any subsidies that fall below the €150,000 mark will not have to be reported.
