W.R. Grace Asks To Keep Funding Retirement Plans

Law360 (May 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bankrupt chemical company W.R. Grace & Co. on Monday asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to allow it to continue meeting the minimum funding requirements of its defined benefit employee retirement savings plans, which cover all of the company's U.S.-based employees.

The motion asks the court to allow W.R. Grace to continue funding the plans in a manner consistent with its contributions throughout the Chapter 11 case, during which it has consistently received court permission to make payments to fund the retirement...
