More Sex Abuse Claims Spell Trouble For Spokane Diocese

Law360, New York (March 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Things have gone from bad to worse for the Catholic Diocese of Spokane. Last week’s deadline imposed by the bankruptcy court for victims to file sexual abuse claims saw the number of allegations against priests more than double, with at least 176 claims received in a development that will likely add millions of dollars to the church’s growing tab.
