Rambus, Hynix Face Off In Closely Watched Chip Feud

Law360, New York (March 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- With hundreds of millions of dollars at stake, Rambus Inc. and South Korea’s Hynix Semiconductor Inc. are set to face off in opening arguments this week in a patent battle over computer memory chip technology.

The California-based Rambus brought the suit against Hynix last January, charging the company with infringing its patents covering dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, technology, which is used in virtually all personal computers.
