Judge Jailed For Beating Wife Is Seeking Treatment, Atty Says

Law360, New York (August 20, 2014, 8:03 PM EDT) -- The Alabama federal judge arrested in a Georgia hotel room and charged with beating his wife has apologized to his family and fellow judges, his attorney said Wednesday, adding that the judge is seeking in-patient treatment.

U.S. District Judge Mark Fuller, who oversaw the 2006 trial of former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman and HealthSouth Corp. CEO Richard Scrushy, is also preparing a formal response to a complaint initiated by the acting chief judge of the Eleventh Circuit, said Barry Ragsdale of Sirote & Permutt PC.
