GAO Report Uncovers TVA Security Failures

Law360, New York (May 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S.' largest public power authority could be vulnerable to infiltration by hackers due to a failure to implement adequate security mechanisms, a new report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office has revealed.

In a report made public on Wednesday, the GAO found that the Tennessee Valley Authority “has not fully implemented appropriate security practices to secure the control systems and networks used to operate its critical infrastructures.”
