Nissim, ClearPlay Spar Again Over DVD Content Filter

Law360 (May 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the latest in a long run of litigation over technology that allows viewers to skip over sex and violence on DVDs, Nissim Corp. has sued ClearPlay Inc. for infringing four of its patents.

The two companies have been at odds over the devices for several years. Nissim first sued ClearPlay for patent infringement in 2004, in a suit that was later settled. Under terms of the settlement, Nissim granted ClearPlay a limited license to sell certain DVD players that use its technology.
