J.L. French’s Creditors Balk At Proposed Changes

Law360, New York (March 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Launching fresh protests, creditors for bankrupt J.L. French Automotive Castings Inc. have objected to the auto parts maker’s recent request to amend its contracts with DaimlerChrysler Corp. and Ford Motor Co.

On Tuesday, creditors filed an objection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware, claiming that the proposed changes will enable the company to submit a reorganization plan that will not pay its unsecured creditors.
