Court Won't Hear Massey Appeal

Law360, New York (May 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After a war of words between justices over alleged impropriety, West Virginia's highest court has decided not to hear Massey Energy Co.'s appeal of a $220 million verdict against it.

Massey said Friday that the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals had decided not to hear the case but that it would continue challenging the verdict.
