SEC Adds 4 More European Regulatory Allies

Law360, New York (May 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission broadened international accounting standards on Friday by signing cooperative agreements with financial regulators in four European countries.

The agreements with regulators in Belgium, Bulgaria, Norway and Portugal expand the International Financial Reporting Standards and build on established alliances for regulatory, enforcement and supervisory cooperation between the commission and its foreign counterparts.
