Maryland Utility Cleared to Issue Settlement Rebates

Law360, New York (May 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Maryland Public Service Commission has signed off on a plan by Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. to begin distributing $170 credits to residential utility customers as part of a settlement ending a long-running dispute related to the deregulation of the state's energy market in 1999.

The rebate will be issued to all residential customers by Aug. 29, BGE said Thursday.
