Survey Ranks U.S. As Top IP Market

Law360 (December 11, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- A survey of five key markets ranked the U.S. as the country most conducive to intellectual property creation and protection, but gave a “thumbs-down” assessment of India and China.

The survey, by Singapore consultancy Intelleigen Pte., ranked countries based on their infrastructure, investment market and “people and culture.” It gave the U.S. the highest ranking, followed by Japan and Singapore.

China and India were both given negative rankings due to perceived weaknesses in each of the three categories measured.
