Ex-Qwest Official Accuses SEC Of Retaliation

Law360, New York (March 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former accountant of telecommunications giant Qwest Communications International Inc. has accused the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission of pursuing fraud charges against him after he failed to sufficiently incriminate former chief executive officer Joseph Nacchio and other top officials.

In a brief filed this week in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, attorneys for James Kozlowski accused SEC representatives of slapping their client with fraud out of a desire for retribution.
