Speedway Managers Lose Bid To Revive Wage Suit

Law360 (May 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bonuses pledged to loyal employees of Speedway SuperAmerica LLC did not constitute wages under Indiana law and the convenience store chain did not act illegally in withholding them, an appeals court has ruled.

The ruling, handed down Friday by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, dashes a bid by a group of Speedway store managers to revive their class action alleging the promised bonuses were unlawfully denied them.
