University of Alberta Sues AMDL Over Technology Transfer

Law360, New York (December 11, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- The University of Alberta sued California-based pharmaceutical company AMDL in Alberta over patents involved in combination immunogene therapy (CIT), AMDL said in a form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Thursday.

The lawsuit arose out of Dr. Lung Chang's employment with the University and AMDL's acquisition of all of Dr. Chang's rights to CIT, which AMDL acquired on August 28, 2001 from Dr. Chang.
