Firm Can Recoup Fees At Market Rate: High Court

Law360, New York (June 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A small security firm that won its contract dispute against the U.S. government can recover its paralegal fees at prevailing market rates, the U.S. Supreme Court has unanimously ruled.

On Monday, the high court reversed the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which had ruled that Richlin Security Service Co. was not entitled to reimbursement of paralegal fees at the rates at which it was billed by its law firm.
