FERC Approves Final Leg Of Rockies Gas Pipeline

Law360, New York (June 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved the third and final leg of a 1,679-mile long pipeline that, once completed, will transport more than 1.8 billion cubic feet per day of Rocky Mountain natural gas to markets in the Midwest and East.

The third leg of the project, known as REX-East, is a 42-inch diameter pipeline that will run 639 miles from Audrain County, Mo., to Clarington, Ohio. FERC approved the REX-East project Friday, saying it was needed to bring new energy supplies to market....
