Swedish Judge Blocks Lindows Sales In Trademark Dispute with Microsoft

Law360, New York (December 11, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Swedish judge granted Microsoft’s motion for a temporary restraining order halting sales of the Lindows operating system in Sweden.

The city court prohibited Lindows.com to use the marks Lindows, Lindows.com and Lindows.os while Microsoft’s trademark infringement lawsuit is pending.

Judge Ulrika Carlehall said Microsoft has shown probable reasons for the alleged infringement.
