Judge Endorses W.R. Grace's $291M Truce

Law360, New York (June 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The bankruptcy judge overseeing the case of industrial giant W.R. Grace & Co. has signed off on the proposed $250 million settlement involving the contaminated Libby, Mont., mine site and has given her blessing to the resolution of another $41 million in unsecured claims.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Judith K. Fitzgerald on Monday gave her stamp of approval to the settlement agreement, putting to rest a slew of environmental claims brought by the U.S. government.
