Tyson Yanks Antibiotic-Free Chicken Claim

Law360, New York (June 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tyson Foods Inc. said Monday it will no longer label its chicken “Raised Without Antibiotics” in the wake of a court injunction barring the company from using the claim.

The company said in a statement that it had notified the U.S. Department of Agriculture that it was voluntarily withdrawing the label “due to uncertainty and controversy over product-labeling regulations and advertising claims.”
