Jury Hits Takeda With $2M In Damages In Philly Actos Case

Law360, Philadelphia (October 3, 2014, 6:08 PM EDT) -- A Philadelphia jury slapped Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. with over $2 million in damages Friday afternoon after finding that the diabetes drug Actos had contributed to a plaintiff’s bladder cancer and that the company had failed to adequately warn physicians about the risks associated with the medication.
