Ethex Recalls Certain Morphine Tablets

Law360, New York (June 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Generics drugmaker Ethex Corp. has voluntarily recalled one lot of 60 mg morphine sulfate extended release tablets, after receiving a report that one of the pills in the lot was twice the normal thickness.

St. Louis, Mo.-based Ethex, a subsidiary of KV Pharmaceutical Co., announced the recall Monday, stating that any oversize tablets in the lot could contain as much as double the amount of active morphine sulfate indicated on the drugs’ label.
