EU Investigates U.S. Biodiesel Subsidies

Law360, New York (June 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- European Union regulators have launched an investigation into whether U.S. biodiesel exports violate global trade regulations.

The European Commission said on Friday that it would look into U.S. biodiesel subsidies and dumping.

“We have always said that the EU will not tolerate unfair trade practices, and will pursue vigorously any well-founded complaint,” EU representative Peter Power said. “The commission will leave no stone unturned in these investigations and will act in accordance with the findings.”
