Exstream, HP Sued Over Data Stream Patent

Law360, New York (June 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Swedish company StreamServe AB is taking aim at Exstream Software LLC and Hewlett-Packard Co. for allegedly infringing its patent covering technology for transporting data streams.

The lawsuit, filed June 9 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, accuses Exstream of infringing StreamServe's patent through products such as the Exstream Software by HP Dialogue software solution.

According to the complaint, StreamServe was issued U.S. Patent Number 7,127,520 in October 2006. The patent covers a “method and system for transporting input data streams,” the complaint...
