Judge Tosses Out Patent Suit Against Mattel

Law360, New York (March 31, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Years of legal wrangling has finally come to an end, as a federal court has thrown out a patent infringement lawsuit brought by LeapFrog Enterprises Inc. against the toy maker Mattel Inc. and its Fisher-Price unit.

“As a company that invests significantly in the development of innovative products and intellectual property, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and conduct our business with the utmost integrity,” said Neil Friedman, president of Mattel Brands, in a statement.
