Law360, New York (June 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission has hailed its white paper on facilitating private antitrust action as a model for dismantling obstacles that are keeping antitrust victims from winning compensation, but in its efforts to avoid spurring what it sees as an overly litigious culture in the United States, the EC has maintained certain hurdles that will continue to deter plaintiffs from going to court, attorneys say.
