Dial Sues S.C. Johnson Over Air Freshener Patent

Law360, New York (June 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Dial Corp. has struck back in an ongoing patent dispute with S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. over the intellectual property behind the two companies' competing brands of air fresheners.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Dial is already the defendant in a Wisconsin court in a suit brought by S.C. Johnson over air freshener patents. In the new action, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, consumer products company and soap maker Dial is the plaintiff.
