Interior Department Sued Over Wyoming Drilling Plan

Law360, New York (June 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An environmental group launched a legal battle with the U.S. Department of the Interior on Wednesday, asking a federal judge to stop further drilling within a natural gas field in western Wyoming.

The Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, contending that the DOI's Bureau of Land Management failed to deliver on promises to shield deer and other wildlife from energy development in the area.
