Congress To Push Patent Troll Bill In 2015, Goodlatte Says

Law360, Washington (November 18, 2014, 3:52 PM EST) -- House Judiciary Committee Chair Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., said Tuesday that patent troll legislation and trade secrets protections should both pass with bipartisan majorities early in the new year, praising industry and lawmakers alike for their collaborative work on the reforms.

Although a House bill aimed at patent trolls overwhelmingly passed in December, its Senate counterpart fell into “the Washington, D.C., version of quicksand” and failed to clear the Senate last year, Goodlatte said.
